Growing up, I was always involved in sports. We were taught to study our opponents... Size up our competition and figure our their gaps and expose their weaknesses. I learned how to get into the opponents head...I even studied film and would watch how my competitors warmed up! I was able to anticipate their every move and most of the time I was successful!
Until one day, I realized I had a competitor I wasn't prepared for... Myself! Do you study your own techniques? Do you pl...ayback tape of yourself? Do you analyze your own weaknesses and develop a strategy to build upon them? Do you play mental games with yourself that throw you off your game?
I had to take a hard look in the mirror and face the fact...I needed to focus on myself, my thoughts, my feelings, my behaviors...I needed to study my every move and no one else's....because they do not matter when the biggest competitor is staring at me in the mirror.
